48 teams are split into 12 groups of four. Each team plays 3 group matches, 72 group matches total.

The top two in each group qualify directly, joined by the 8 best third-place teams for the Round of 32.

32 teams enter single-match knockouts from the Round of 32. There are 32 knockout matches, with the final on July 19.
